A Chemist and A Biologist~~

As promise~today's post will be about out general biology lab and General chemistry lab~

They are usually build for education purposes so feel free to be disappointed if you are hopping for a highly futuristic lab.

 

OK~an roughly view of our general biology lab~couples of chairs.an "Emergency eye washer""is shown in the bottom left...yes...you can wash your eye balls with it

 Light microscope for observation of sample from a human mouth~a typical experiment for any bio lab class.

 just that you can also try to use cells from your eye balls also when the lecturer is not looking, but it is highly not recommended by non professional

left over of skin cells, no eye balls here~don't worry

A dissecting microscope for cutting your eye balls.

 i promise this will not shock you eye balls out after the socket is being plug in

Voltage=1.5x normal voltage or just the power of magnification.

i would tell you it is not the latter if i need your eye balls

This is how is it looks like when all the light is being turn off in a typical evening. Since our class usually ends at 5.30pm, i would say this is a rare situation i am in.

Next is our chemistry lab~This lab is usually packed with students from taking Chemistry1 and Chemistry2, lots of filtration, titration's and separation would be done.

this lab is also design to accommodate 30-50 students, and is equipped with instrument which are far enough for everyone~~~

This is how it looks like when you 1st enter the lab. fume hood, gloves and records book are placed conveniently in places they should be. A sanitizer is provided, but hardly been used as a clean smell is not consider a nice smell to us.hehe~yes, we are spoiled

A distiller for water purification, it roughly works as putting a cold tube over boiling water. The water that condensed on the cold tube will be collected as our purified water.

Distilled water containers, since the distillation process takes quite some time, they were always stored in this big and bulking and white and plastic and round and cute looking cylinder.

A pump for creation of vacuum, used for filtration, not cleaning

A retort stand for holding burrete and pippete, and again a cute white cylinder for water.

the magic water that cure cancer, or we called them dEtErGeNt in scientific name.

a forest of pipette, no  bulb pipette can be found since the school doesn't recommend pregnant pipette to go to work.

Ramdon face made by a steel plate, two rubber plug  and a standard flask cap.

A brush used for instrument cleaning~used with extreme caution..

i know it is hard to imagine hows the actual thing looks like with this grain of picture and information (which is mainly composed of nothing but nonsense)

But don't worry~~~more detail description regarding individual instrument and experimental technique will be introduce in the future (yaya, in details)
